Question: Why can’t I find my City when viewing ads?
Answer: Because no one has yet posted an ad from your city. Here is your chance to be the first!
Question: How Do I Place An Ad?
Answer: You must be a Registered Member to place Ads. Login with your username and password you chose upon registering.
- Click On "Place An Ad". Identify the single best category for your Ad.
- Choose the listing package you would like to use.
- Fill out the ad form and you are done! Simple!
Question: How to write a successful Classified Ad and get maximum exposure for my ads?
Answer: Many people have tried using classified ads but without success. The main reason behind this is that they do not put effort to write a proper ad.

- Make the ad title more attractive for better search result listing. Make your title short but descriptive. Try to avoid words like "must see", "wow". No buyers would search for those words.
- Add a detailed description about the item you are selling like model number, make, new or used, how long your had it, etc. Identify and write about the most beneficial feature of the product or service you are advertising.
- A picture is worth million words, so add photos. You can add up to 4 photos absolutely free on our site.
- Do not just rush to post your ad. Take time to format your ad properly in proper paragraphs. A properly formatted ad has better chances of receiving responses.
- Do not use all Capital letters as some people may find it offending or difficult to read. If possible, please try using Proper Case.
- Price Right! If your item is priced right, it will be sold quickly. Ask yourself a question, will I buy this item at the price I am offering from someone else? If no, then you have over-priced your item. Mention the price clearly. Also state whether the price is fixed or you are willing to take the best offer. This helps in getting better ad responses.
Question: I have posted my ad under wrong category by mistake. Can I change category?
Answer: Ad can be moved into a different category by site administrator. Please go to our CONTACT FORM and let us know indicating your Ad ID.
Question: What files types do you accept for placing a picture ad?
Answer: GIF, JPG, JPEG, PNG. The maximum file size is 2000 kbytes. The maximum pix width is 600, maximum pix height is 450.
Question: What do the optional extras mean?
Answer: There are 3 optional extras.

Bold: This means your advert will be displayed in bold, making it stand out more against other advertisements
Highlighted: If you choose this option the background of your advert will be highlighted in a different colour to the other ads.
Featured: Featured ads are displayed in the "Featured" sections of the site and also appear first in all searches.
Question: Will I receive lots of Spam?
Answer: Our Classifieds uses a private email system, so your email address is never shown, unless you want to include it in your ad.
Question: I place a featured ad, but do not see it in the featured ads section. Why?
Answer: The featured ads are rotated on a random basis. Depending on the number of active featured listings, your listing will be displayed randomly, at various times.
Question: Can I Change My Listing(s) Once I Have Submitted It?
Answer: Yes. You can login and modify your listing anytime, this includes text & images! If you sell your item or if you wish to delete your listing, you can do that too! This will help to keep the site clean and current. It will save you from getting inquiries and contacts on an item that is no longer available or needed.
Question: How do I renew my ad(s)?
Answer: You will receive an automatic email 7 days before your ad expires telling you how to renew your ad. You will have total control over your ads when you are logged in.
Question: I’ve added multiple pictures to my ad, what is this "image rank" thing I see when I am modifying images?
Answer: By default all images are give a rank of "5". If you have multiple images uploaded for your ad and they all have the same rank they will appear in the order they were added. However, you may want to alter the order in which they appear in your ad and this is where the "rank" comes into play. You can change the numbers next to the images you have uploaded for you ad. The lowest number image takes precedence.
Question: Why was my Ad removed from the site?
Answer: There are several reasons why an Ad may have been removed from the site including:
- The Ad violated our terms and conditions.
- Wrong or incomplete Poster’s contact information.
- The Ad was using inappropriate language.
- The Ad was offering illegal items.
- The Ad was using all CAPITAL LETTERS or long string of characters in description.
- The Ad was posted multiple times or in multiple regions.
- The poster’s IP address is not from the US or Canada.
- Users informed us the Ad as being spam or fraud.
- The Ad was expired.
Question: I have registered, but I cannot Login! What is the problem?
Answer: Once you register, you will receive an email that has an activation link in it. Once you click the link in the activation email, your membership will be activated. If you did not receive the activation email, please check your spam folder, it may have been flagged as spam. If you still need assistance go to our CONTACT FORM.
Question: I try to login, but it keeps kicking me back into the login page. What is going on?
Answer: On rare occasions, people have cookies disabled on their browsers. You must enable cookies in your browser to use our classifieds system.
Question: What if I forget my password and can’t login or want to reset my password?
Answer: To reset your password, simply click on Login link in the menu, then click on the Forgot Password? link on the login page. You will be asked to verify your email address by typing it in and clicking Submit. This will send you an email, with a reset password, allowing you to login and define a new password. Once again, click on Login from the menu and enter the details from the email sent to you. Please enter the emailed password exactly as it appears in the email - as it is case sensitive. Once logged in, you can click on Modify Your Account then type in a new password (twice) and click Submit and your new password will be set.
Question: What does "Add to Favirites" mean?
Answer: After logging in you can save an Ad for future reference whenever you conduct a search.
You can click on "Add to Favorites" in the "View Listing" page.
Click on "View Favorites" in Classifieds menu to view all Ads you have bookmarked earlier (to keep a track of all the Ads that you are interested in).
Question: What is "Email a Friend"?
Answer: Forward to a Friend helps in sending informative Ads to your friends.
Click on "Email a Friend" in the "View Listing" page.
Enter a valid Friend’s Email and Friend’s Name in Your friend’s email box.
Click on "Submit" to forward the Ad.
An automated email will be sent to your friend with the Ad link.
Question: How can I create My own Store?
Answer: The seller store is a section that allows sellers to have their own store similar to Ebay stores where that page only shows their ads.
You can insert either a store logo and store name. A store description can also be included.
You must be a Registered Member to create Your own Store.
After logging into ComeToSell-Classifieds and choosing "My Store" link in the Classifieds menu, just fill out the Store form, upload your Store image and then click on "Submit" button.
How can you see your Store? It is Easy! Just open any your posted ad and click on the link "Ads from this advertiser" on the bottom of description of your ad.
